Snowball was a pony
together we'd ride
over the paddocks
to roam far and wide...
His coat it was dappled
his mane gray and white
his black eyes sparkled
with a tail raised in flight...
We had such fun times
and galloped away
on the banks of the Inman river
at Encounter Bay...
One day as he trotted
clippetty clop
Snowball spied green grass
his head quickly dropped...
Tumbling from Snowball
my foot it was stuck
fast in the stirrup
I fell in the mud...
He stood and he waited
with saddle askew
for me to remount
and trot off on cue...
Old Snowball was a pony
he was my true friend
adventures we shared
right to the end...

Old uncle Stan's a very wise man
he cooks his dinner in a frying pan.
There's not too much he doesn't know
about the sun, wind, rain and snow...
He said " the mother earth roams round the sky
she makes the corn grow ripe and high.
Her daughter clouds gather again
and laugh and shake to make the rain...
They shake and shiver making snow
the white flakes drift as down they go
to blanket all the hills and dales.
The winds are spirits whispering tales...
The thunder god bangs on his drums,
the lightening lady strikes and runs.
This is how all nature rules
the sky, the earth and mortal fools...
